Please be sure to address contrast for Bread. All of the principles should be addressed for each artwork: unity/variety, contrast, balance, emphasis, directional forces, scale/proportion, repetition/rhythm.
The principles of design slides would benefit from some proofreading.
On every artwork slide, you should include the following information:
– title of artwork- artist- year created- medium (that is, oil painting? drawing? bronze sculpture? etc)- there should also be a citation at the bottom, in parentheses
I see you’ve started the background slides. Keep in mind the information on these slides should be researched facts about the artist, artwork or genre. Do not include your interpretation of the work, or what you see in the formal aspects.
On the references slide, there should be one reference citations for each artwork in your gallery. They each should lead with the artist’s last name and include the artwork date, title, medium and where you found the image.

Art Gallery: Critique
For Unit V of the art gallery presentation, you will again be adding to your PowerPoint presentation.
For this segment, you will be adding a critique of your gallery pieces and explaining how and if they fit into each of the art criticism theories discussed in this course. Art Criticism theories (formal, contextual, and expressive) help art historians and critics categorize art. An artwork will not represent a theory, but a theory can lead to a better understanding of the artwork.
